The County has moved from precincts to Vote Centers

A big change is sweeping Los Angeles County with the upcoming March election! There will no longer be precincts in cities; instead, there will be Vote Centers located throughout the County. The Voting Solutions for All People project, commonly referred to as VSAP, is the County’s initiative to improve and modernize the voting experience. In March 2020, the County will move away from a precinct-based model to the Vote Center model made possible through the California Voter’s Choice Act. This will create an 11-day period of voting and will allow voters to vote at any Vote Center in the County during that period. In addition, the County will move to a new fully accessible Ballot Marking Device, or BMD, which incorporates a modern touchscreen interface, but still retains a paper ballot for security. Click here to watch a demonstration of the new electronic voting equipment

County is Modernizing the Voting Experience by 2020

In 2020, Los Angeles County will transition from polling places to vote centers. Innovative changes give all voters regardless of age, background, disability or language a private and independent voting experience that is easy and convenient. The Voting Solutions for All People (VSAP) is a new voting experience designed to be intuitive and accessible for all voters and will offer all registered voters in the City of Agoura Hills the following options:

  • Voters will be able to vote at any vote center throughout the County
  • Convenient, secure and accessible Vote Centers will be available for up to 11 days
  • Vote by Mail Drop Box Locations will be available for 29 days
  • Same day voter registration will be allowed
