Governor Newsom announced on July 13th that effective immediately the following business types must CLOSE ALL INDOOR OPERATIONS. Fitness centers, worship services, protests, offices for non-essential sectors, personal care services like nail salons, body waxing, and tattoo parlors, hair salons and barbershops, and Malls.

Deborah Klein Lopez is a dedicated public servant who has made a tangible difference in the fields of government, education, public health, environmental justice and economic equality. Her broad reach of activism has included serving as a Director of the Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains, leading a school district parcel tax measure to success, managing a winter homeless shelter for 15 years and working with the California State Senate.

Deborah graduated with honors from Northwestern University with a dual degree in Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences and Economics.

An avid hiker who grew up in Agoura Hills and was greatly influenced by its proximity to the Santa Monica Mountains, Deborah returned with her husband Fabricio to raise their three children in her hometown. She was elected to the Agoura Hills City Council in November of 2018 for a four-year term.
