Governor Newsom announced on July 13th that effective immediately the following business types must CLOSE ALL INDOOR OPERATIONS. Fitness centers, worship services, protests, offices for non-essential sectors, personal care services like nail salons, body waxing, and tattoo parlors, hair salons and barbershops, and Malls.

Linda Northrup was elected to the Agoura Hills City Council in 2015 and served as Mayor Pro Tem prior to being elected as Mayor in 2018-2019.  Before being elected to the City Council, Linda was a member of the Agoura Hills Planning Commission from 2011 - 2015 and served as Chair in 2015.

Ms. Northrup is honored to be the first Agoura High School graduate to serve on the City Council and as Mayor of Agoura Hills.  She returned to Agoura Hills to raise her family after obtaining a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from UCLA and a law degree from Hastings College of Law in San Francisco.  Linda and her husband, Dave Schlueter, have a local law and mediation practice and have been members of the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce for over 15 years.

Ms. Northrup is also involved in, and a supporter of, many local charitable and community organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Senior Concerns and the Cancer Support Community. She has been honored to participate in, and speak at, events sponsored by the Boys and Girls Club and the Las Virgenes Unified School District, including being a panelist at the Gen UN Women's Panel program and a featured speaker at the Gen UN Climate Action event.

In her spare time, Linda loves to watch baseball with her husband, play in one of the many local parks with her grandsons, and sew handmade quilts, a family tradition for three generations.
