Governor Newsom announced on July 13th that effective immediately the following business types must CLOSE ALL INDOOR OPERATIONS. Fitness centers, worship services, protests, offices for non-essential sectors, personal care services like nail salons, body waxing, and tattoo parlors, hair salons and barbershops, and Malls.

Welcome! The Public Works Department is open for business at this time, even though City Hall is closed due to COVID-19. Staff is working remotely, and will be retrieving messages sent to City Hall phone numbers and e-mail addresses throughout the day from 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday – Thursday, and on Friday from 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Please note the following specific information on how we are continuing to serve you.

The City is still issuing Encroachment and Transportation Permits while working remotely.  If you would like to apply for an Encroachment or Transportation Permit, please click on the links below to download the application.

Once you have completed the application, please scan or mail the application to: bwoodworth@agourahillscity.org and copy rcortes@agourahillscity.org.  Please make sure to include the following if necessary: site map of the work area, traffic control plans, copy of your city business license, insurance endorsement and any other documents that relate to the permit you are applying for.  Payments can be made by check and mailed to the City of Agoura Hills at 30001 Ladyface Court, Agoura Hills, CA 91301 or via credit card over the phone.  Please do not send any payments until instructed by the City to do so.  If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact Brian Woodworth at 818-597-7322 or bwoodworth@agourahillscity.org or Robert Cortes at  818-597-7329 or rcortes@agourahillscity.org

    DEPARTMENT INFORMATION:

    The Public Works/Engineering Department is responsible for the administration and implementation of a number of maintenance and service programs within the City of Agoura Hills, which include the maintenance of streets, parks, sewers, storm drains, traffic signals, medians, and weed and litter abatement.

    In addition, the department is responsible for the development of public infrastructures, installation or construction of capital improvement projects, land development, and stormwater management.

    The items mentioned above require staff to respond to requests for service, coordinate our efforts with local, regional, state, and federal agencies, and above all things, to work with the community in all of our efforts.
