Governor Newsom announced on July 13th that effective immediately the following business types must CLOSE ALL INDOOR OPERATIONS. Fitness centers, worship services, protests, offices for non-essential sectors, personal care services like nail salons, body waxing, and tattoo parlors, hair salons and barbershops, and Malls.

Public Participation (Public Comment) for Regular Meetings (6pm):

There are no live or call-in testimonies for these categories; written public comments are received remotely. To ensure the City Council has the opportunity to review information prior to the meeting, please submit your written public comments to by 4:00 p.m. on the meeting date. Please identify the agenda item number in the email subject line. Public comments provided via email will be posted on the City website and distributed to the City Council prior to the City Council meeting. Any public comments received after 4:00 p.m. on the meeting day through the adjournment of that meeting will be posted on the City’s website and forwarded to the City Council after the meeting. Any comments submitted via text or social media will not be accepted.
2. Instructions for Items Designated as Public Hearings ONLY. All interested parties are cordially invited to participate in a public hearing either by submitting written public comments by email or participating live by telephone. To submit written public comments, please include the agenda item number in the subject line and email to by 4:00 p.m. on the meeting date and your comments will be distributed to the City Council prior to the meeting. To participate live by telephone, please email your name and telephone number (including the area code) to as soon as possible, but prior to the time the Mayor closes the public comment period on the public hearing. City staff will call you at the appropriate time to receive your public testimony. Public testimony is limited to three (3) minutes per speaker. A speaker’s time may not be transferred to another speaker.

The City Council meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. City Council meetings are held at City Hall, 30001 Ladyface Court, in the Council Chambers. They are open to the public and residents are encouraged to address the City Council on matters of importance. In addition to the meeting being broadcast live (via webstreaming) the night of the meeting, City Council meetings are televised and are shown on Channel 10 for Time Warner Cable subscribers, Channel 3 for Charter subscribers, and Channel 99 for AT&T U-Verse subscribers, beginning at 7:00 p.m. the following evening and running daily until the next regularly scheduled City Council meeting. The broadcast schedule is as follows: M-10am; T-3pm; W-10am; Th-7pm; F-10am; S-3pm; and Su-7pm.

The City Council has long recognized the critical importance of providing open and transparent government by timely noticing public meetings and adhering to open government laws.  On August 22, 2012, the Agoura Hills City Council adopted Resolution No. 12-1680, reaffirming the City's commitment to open and transparent government and to maintaining compliance with the Ralph M. Brown Act in its entirety, regardless of the suspension of related mandates by the State of California.
